Norwegian art-prog group Gazpacho are back with a new single “Soyuz One.” The single is from their upcoming album ‘Soyuz’ is due to be released on may 18th, 2018 via Kscope Music. You can hear the track here:
A band who are used to seizing headlines with bizarre stories, including The Independent (UK) branding Molok as “An album that could destroy the world”, Gazpacho have a holistic approach to the album writing process, imbuing each with a captivating concept. The themes of Soyuz were born from the idea of how beautiful moments pass and cannot be “saved for later”, so within Soyuz are interconnected tales of people and lives “frozen in time”. Taking inspiration from a multitude of eras and subject matters, including the doomed Russian space capsule Soyuz and its iconic captain Komarov; the Tibetan Buddhist funeral practice in “Sky Burial”; the inclusion of the oldest recording of the human voice from 1860 and the Hans Christian Andersen inspired “Emperor Bespoke”.

Neal Morse released his latest solo album, LIFE & TIMES, today on Radiant Records via Metal Blade Records/SONY on all digital outlets, including Radiant Records’ website, as well as CD and vinyl.
The Stephen Yake/Christian Rios-directed third video from the already critically acclaimed album, “JoAnna,” premiered exclusively on BigTakeover.com. The song is one of 12 slice-of-life portraits composed by MORSE, which focuses on his son dealing with the loss of a relationship.
“’JoAnna’ is a very special song to me,” explains NEAL MORSE. “It’s one of those rare times when everything spontaneously comes together…the string arrangement, the pedal steel guitar, the drums and bass so tastefully done. It’s one of the best tracks I’ve ever recorded in my opinion. So excited this album is coming out at this time!”
Morse also released a new song recently as a response to the terrible shooting in Parkland, FL. The song called “What if it was your child?” asks every parent to consider what might happen if nothing is done to stop the awful tragedies that have affected US cities in recent years.

Vocalist Daniel Tompkins has described the record as “Conceptually exploring a deep and devouring sense of insignificance, which ties into the overall theme and meaning behind ‘Sonder’.”

Last week, Kino announced the release of their new album ‘Radio Voltaire’, arriving 13 years after the band’s much-loved debut ‘Picture’ back in 2005. Out on March 23rd, 2018, it sees John Mitchell (It Bites, Lonely Robot) & Pete Trewavas (Marillion) teaming up once more, with Craig Blundell (Steven Wilson) on drums & John Beck (It Bites) guesting on keyboards.
Now they are pleased to reveal ‘The Dead Club’, the first track to be taken from the album, and you can listen to it now here:
John Mitchell comments: “Ladies and gentlemen!…Welcome to the Dead Club! Here is where all the wannabe rock stars hang out. It’s a place where petulant arrested development is encouraged, and to overdose makes you an iconic martyr in a rather timeless clichéd fashion. Beware false idols and remember at all times…..it’s only music….it’s light entertainment, nothing deserving of too much merit, much less a medal ☺”
The album will be available on Limited CD Digipak (including bonus tracks), Gatefold 180g Double Vinyl (incl. CD) & Digital Download. Digital pre-orders on iTunes and Amazon receive ‘The Dead Club’ immediately. Pre-order now here: https://kinomusic.lnk.to/RadioVoltaire
