So if you were wondering what the unceremoniously fired front man of Pallas was going to do post Pallas, here is your answer. It's a decent album from an accomplished singer. This is straightforward crossover prog and if you liked Pallas I would think that your would like it. The first song has this great grove but most songs are fine but nothing I really get too excited by. So I really like Joe Payne's vocals but this no drums or base is a difficult pill to swallow. I like that they tried this instrumentation as it is a very progressive thing to do. It just does nothing for me. The bad news is yet to come, this album is the first of a trilogy. I have to think that the instrumentation will change but it does leave me worried about what is yet to come. I do like the experimentation of this album certainly sounds 50% choir and 50% opera but its 100% bad. I can't even think of who I should suggest should...

So the album is full of great music. This is their best album since the 1991 album Edge of the Century and that album was very underrated. That tour I saw at a place called the Twitter Center where I believe John Panozzo was married on stage. This album is full of great harmonies and melodies each song above average. I think that any Styx fan will enjoy this album. I myself thought it was better than I could imagine them doing at this stage in their career. They really haven't put out anything spectacular for 25 years. ALBUM HIGHLIGHTS:...

This submission was the first I have heard of this band but it has scored a nice tour with Lonely Robot and has booked a festival. So I thought it time to check them out. There is not to much to say here I was pretty happy with every song but nothing really stood out as exceptional ALBUM HIGHLIGHTS: Red Skies Rise [usrlist "PREVIOUS BAND RATING:0" "ACCESSIBILITY:3" "HEAVINESS:2" "MELODIC:3" "ARTWORK & PACKAGING:3" "DRAMA:2.5" "OVERALL RATING:3"]   Click Below to...

So I was sent this album back in December and I finally got around to listening to it. This Greek heavy prog band has a great sound. The problem for me is that its not always melodic enough for my taste. When they are in mellow I really like their tracks when the are too heavy and have machine gun type base drum going that does nothing for me. If you are a fan of Prog Power this album you must check out I think you will love it. ALBUM HIGHLIGHTS: Once, Telos [usrlist "PREVIOUS BAND RATING:0" "ACCESSIBILITY:1.5"...

Full disclosure here. I am more a fan of fish than Marillion. That being said I have liked most of his solo releases with the last 5 at least being above average or better. This album is no different again some wonderful crossover prog. I was lucky enough to see some of this preformed live in New Jersey as well which inevitably makes me like this album a little more too. Together with writer Steve Vantsis I think there are many strong songs on this album. I think I can comfortably say I like each and every song on this album. Every song is...
